Flounders, leopard seals, and Aaron!

20 Nov 2009

The oldest group has moved on to discovering Antarctica and as part of their learning they made Leopard Seals out of paper lunch bags.  The middle group worked on their flounders and starfish. Richard gave them clay to make flounders from, and sand and water for the flounder to live in.  He showed them that if the flounder was covered in sand the sharks couldn’t see them, so they wouldn’t eat them!  They also learned about how starfish have eyes on the ends of each of their arms, and that their mouths are at the center of their belly.  The youngest group learned all about Aaron today. Aaron like ice cream, cars, and loves his family!
